LIMELIGHT LIVE ENTERTAINMENT stands for first-class live entertainment, many years of industry experience, and a passion for bringing extraordinary experiences to the stage. Our portfolio ranges from major musicals and internationally acclaimed productions to dance and spectacular shows, as well as concert and entertainment formats.
Together with strong national and international partners, we develop, produce, and present both established, successful formats and new, innovative concepts. In doing so, we combine the experience of an internationally established network with the creativity and innovative spirit of a young team.
As a joint venture between Ralf Kokemüller and Semmel Concerts Entertainment, LIMELIGHT LIVE ENTERTAINMENT brings together comprehensive expertise in production, touring, booking, and marketing. This combination enables us to take a holistic approach to productions and successfully bring them to stages in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Founder & CEO
For more than three decades, Ralf Kokemüller has been a leading figure in the German and international live entertainment industry as a producer, promoter, and entrepreneur. Starting in 1995, he played a key role at BB Promotion and later, as CEO of the BB Group, in building one of Europe’s leading live entertainment companies.
His portfolio includes internationally successful musicals, shows, and dance productions such as STOMP, BLUE MAN GROUP, THRILLER – LIVE, Disney’s THE LION KING, MARY POPPINS, LES MISÉRABLES, and the ALVIN AILEY AMERICAN DANCE THEATER. His English-language in-house production of WEST SIDE STORY toured 39 countries, and with BODYGUARD, he brought the original German-language production to Cologne as a sit-down production. Innovative formats such as BALLET REVOLUCIÓN, CARMEN LA CUBANA, and BERLIN BERLIN were also created under his leadership.
In addition to his creative and production work, Kokemüller played a key role in shaping the strategic development of the corporate group and has built up an international network of producers, artists, creative professionals, and partners over the course of decades.
As a co-producer of *Kinky Boots*, he won the Tony Award for “Best Musical” in 2014. In 2018, BB Promotion received the LEA Award for “Promoter of the Year.”
In 2024, Ralf Kokemüller founded LIMELIGHT LIVE Entertainment GmbH in partnership with Semmel Concerts Entertainment. As managing director, he combines his many years of international experience with a forward-looking vision: In addition to established musical and show formats, LIMELIGHT LIVE collaborates with a new generation of creative professionals to develop innovative entertainment concepts—with the goal of discovering extraordinary ideas and bringing inspiring experiences to the stage.
